French delegation led by Guy Riba, Vice-President of INRA and Lidiya Shavinskaya, Responsible Executive for Scientific Cooperation with Russia and CIS countries visited Siberian Federal University on June 14-15, 2010.

Special postcards and envelopes were cancelled for the Congress and Exhibition «Energetics in Global World» which was officially opened on June 16, 2010. Cancellation was made by the special post marks with the symbol of the Congress and fixed date - «June 16, 2010».

Andrey Efremenko, SibFU student won gold medal in the 75 kg weight category at the International Boxing Championship held in Grudziadz (Poland) on May 25-30, 2010.

International Young Translators Contest with the slogan «Translation is a self-portrait of translator» (Korney I. Chukovsky) was organized by SibFU Institute of Philology and Language Communication (Department of Theory and Practice of Translation, Department of Oriental Languages) and the SibFU Translation Services Centre with the assistance of the regional branch of the Union of Translators of Russia.

Maxim Lyubchenko, 1-year Master’s degree Law student of Siberian Federal University won the United Nations grant and took part in the Moscow International Model UN held in April 2010 at the MGIMO-University (Moscow).

Delegation of Siberian Federal University visited the Republic of Tajikistan on April 26-29, 2010. The SibFU delegation comprised Andrey Luchenkov, Deputy First Vice-Rector – Academic Affairs, Andrey Uzhva, Head of the Centre for the SCO and APR Strategic Studies, Artem Shakhmatov, Specialist of the Protocol Office of the Department of International Affairs.

The XIIth International Boxing Championship was held in Makhachkala (Republic of Dagestan) on April 11 – 18, 2010. The championship was dedicated to the memory of Magomed Salam Umakhanov, government official of the Republic.

The University of Cadiz and Siberian Federal University have signed a framework partnership agreement for joint activities and programs in teaching and research within the framework of the official visit of the SibFU delegation to Spain.

Delegation of Siberian Federal University led by Andrey A. Uzhva, Head of the Centre for the SCO and APR Strategic Studies visited Kyrgyz-Uzbek University (Osh city, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan) and Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov (Bishkek, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan) on March 21-27, 2010 to develop cooperation between the SibFU and educational institutions of the SCO states.

Lev Kuznetsov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Aleksander Uss, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory visited Siberian Federal University on March 5, 2010.
