Aichi Province has been a major Japanese partner for Krasnoyarsk Krai since 2012. Aichi Prefectural University is a major Japanese partner for Siberian Federal University.

The delegation from Japan (Aichi Prefectural University) will visit SibFU from 30 August to 3 September 2012. Takashima Tadayoshi, the Japanese university rector, and Professor Shiro Kato will sign a framework agreement on mutual collaboration with SibFU's rector Eugene Vaganov. The agreement implies a potential for internships and joint research projects between SibFU's students, doctoral researchers and faculty and Aichi researchers.

Photography Exhibition

September 1 will mark the launch of the photography exhibition 'Walking around my native town in Aichi Province'. The exhibition will be launched by SibFU's rector and the rector of Aichi Prefectural University at the University Library.

Public Lectures on 3 September

• Takashima Tadayoshi, Aichi Prefectural University's rector will speak on global climate change and Kioto agreement.
• Professor Shiro Kato will speak on the 220 years of relations between Japan and Russia.
