Siberian Federal University will host VI international research conference 'Communication in a Changing World' from 27 to 29 September 2012. The conference organizers are Russian Communication Association, Eurasian Communication Association of North America, and Institute of Philology and Language Communication, SibFU.

The conference aims to discuss the diverse efforts of researchers from different countries working in various fields, genres and types of human communication in the frames of communication studies. Meeting global challenges is not possible without developing and improving human communication. Communication is instrumental in understanding differences and it unites to achieve common objectives.

"Conference attendees will present their knowledge, research methods and approaches to studying effective communication. The fields include speech, interpersonal relations, mass communication, institutional communication, political communication, communication in teaching, law and medicine. , — Professor Lyudmila Kulikova, head of the Department of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication and chair of the conference organizing committee, says. — National and international researchers who will come from various parts of the world will turn Krasnoyarsk into a centre of communication studies for the conference period. ".

The conference is expected to be attended by 170 national and international researchers that approach their fields of research in terms of communication, interaction and multidisciplinarity.

Conference attendees represent Moscow State University, Volgograd State Socio-Pedagogical University, Voronezh State University, Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University. International attendees are from University Pompeu Fabra (Spain), Florida Atlantic University (USA), University of Helsinki (Finland), Anadolu University (Turkey), Amity University (India).

Conference international partners providing information support are National Communication Association (NCA), International Communication Association (ICA), European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA), Polish Communication Association (Polskie Towarzystwo Komunikacji Spolecznej, PTKS), International Federation of Communication Associations (IFCA), World Complexity Science Academy (WCSA), Russian Association of Film and Media Eduacation and Kazakh Communication Association.
