Winter Festival «Scientific and Technical Art. Robots. Smart Space Systems»

The Winter Festival «Scientific and Technical Art. Robots. Smart Space Systems» was held on January 5 – 10, 2010 in the SibFU Affiliate in Zheleznogorsk. More than 100 pupils from different towns of the Krasnoyarsk Territory visited the Event.

Each day of the Festival had its own specific topic: «We construct», «We design», «We program», «We robotize». Pupils came up with different ideas concerning operation and design of electro-mechanical systems. Pupils worked in the following sections:

Design (engineers);
Scientific Background of Constructed Systems and Devices (physicists);
Advertising and Design;
Relevance of Invention and its History (journalists);
PR (terminology and annotation in English).

Scientists from Zheleznogorsk companies and faculty members of higher educational institutions delivered lectures on the following topics: «The Main Principles of Projects Activities», «Contemporary Information Systems», «Operation of Engineering Systems. Accidents. Catastrophes», «Information Satellite Systems», «Artificial Intelligence», «Robots and People». Children presented their autonomous robotic devices at the projects’ contest held after seminars and workshops.
