Vladimir V. Putin to visit Siberian Federal University

Vladimir V. Putin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation visited Siberian Federal University on March 29, 2010. He held a meeting devoted to construction and development prospects of the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.

The following officials participated in the meeting: Anatoly V. Kvashnin, President's Representative in the Siberian Federal District, Andrey A. Fursenko, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Lev V. Kuznetsov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Eduard Yu. Khudainatov, First Vice-President of OAO Rosneft, Eugeny A. Vaganov, SibFU Rector, Nicolai N. Dovzhenko, Head of the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.

It is necessary to recall that Vladimir V. Putin gave important directions to construct the newest building of the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering 1,5 years ago. The project is implemented within the framework of the Public Private Partnership: ОАО Rosneft, Federal Education Agency, Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The building will be set into operation in August 2010.

Participants of the meeting discussed important issues and pointed out that the project is set up on schedule and the building is 70% ready-to-use. Nicolai N. Dovzhenko said that «There are few issues of concern to be solved. All parties participating in the project show well coordinated work and strive to reach good results». Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation mentioned the positive experience of employers forming job specifications package for alumni.

Summarizing the meeting, Vladimir V. Putin evaluated the progress of the University's development as a whole and construction of the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.
