Student of the SibFU Military Training Department to become the Champion of Russia

The National Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship was held on June 15 – 20, 2010 in Moscow (Russia). Nikita V. Melnikov, student of the SibFU Military Training Department struck gold in a tough struggle for victory.

Nikita V. Melnikov competed in a 96 kg weight category and it is not the first victory he can boast. He is the prize-winner of the European and World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships.

His coach is Mikhail A. Gamzin, SibFU Professor, Honoured Coach of Russia, Recipient of the Order of Friendship, Honorary Citizen of Krasnoyarsk. Mikhail A. Gamzin was awarded with the Medal of Merit for the Motherland. He also trains two Olympic champions – Nazir Mankiev and Aslanbek Hushtov.
