Siberian Federal University

On February 16, 2011 Siberian Federal University hosted the delegation of the Spanish senators Jesús Caicedo Bernabé and Juan Huguet Rotger within the framework of the VIII Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. During the visit the members of the Spain’s Upper House of Parliament had several meetings with the University senior management.

At the meeting with Evgeny A. Vaganov, Rector of Siberian Federal University, the prospects of further collaboration between SibFU and Spanish Universities were discussed.

SibFU has already been developing academic collaboration and exchanges with the University of Castilla-La Mancha, the University of Cádiz, Madrid Polytechnic University, Alcalá University and the Institute for Biocomputation and Physics of Complex Systems of the University of Zaragoza.

Being the participants of the VIII Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum the Spanish politicians agreed to deliver a lecture for SibFU students on Spanish transition from Francoism to democracy and following social and economic changes in Spanish society over the last decades.
