Oxford University Rugby Football Club (OURFC) will visit Siberian Federal University on September 20-21, 2011.

Forty British students will arrive in Siberia by the invitation of the Russian Rugby Union and the senior management of SibFU. They will have a friendly match with SibFU rugby team and a series of rugby trainings.

Siberian Federal University pays special attention to rugby. About 300 students from different institutes take a great interest in classic rugby-15 and more spectacular rugby-7. According to the director of SibFU Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism, Sergey Mutovin," SibFU sportsmen are successful enough in this kind of sport. Fifteen student rugby team players are the members of the famous Krasnoyarsk rugby teams "Krasniy Yar" and "Yenisey-STM”. Last year SibFU men's rugby team became the winner in the Russian championship among student teams. This year, University rugby team has taken the first place in the regional Universiade".
