Professor John Lee (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Georgia, USA) will deliver public lectures at the Institute of Fundamental Biology and Biotechnology from 20 to 27 February 2012.

Professor John Lee will examine bioluminescence, an amazing global phenomenon.

He will discuss the newest achievements in bioluminescence, the basics of biochemistry and biophysics that trigger the phenomenon for various luminescent organisms and the main trends in bioluminescence applications.
