On 13 September 2021, an exhibition of Areg Demirkhanov's authorial heritage was opened at Siberian Federal University. It features watercolour paintings, personal items, souvenirs, photographs and several sculptural portraits of the prominent architect.

In November 2021, Russian Open Education Centre Sibedu.ru gives courses in the Russian language for students from more than 50 countries at Siberian Federal University. The center was supported by the Ministry of Education to popularize the Russian language and culture. This year, the professors of the center have developed teaching materials and manuals for a unique program that will be implemented this November.
