SibFU students successfully performed at the European Orienteering Championship

Marina Vyatkina, a student of the School of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism, SibFU, an athlete of the regional Academy of winter sports won in a 3-stage relay race her third gold medal. She was on the same team as Olesya Ryazanova and Maria Kechkina.

The European Championship and the World Championship in orienteering (ski disciplines) among athletes under 23 years old were held in Bulgaria. Athletes from 15 countries, including Russia, Sweden, Bulgaria, Norway, Estonia, Switzerland, Japan, Finland, Czech Republic, Romania, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, and Slovenia took part in it.

Previously Marina Vyatkina took first place in the women's sprint and mixed relay team with Vladislav Kiselev. In addition, in the first days of the competition, Igor Linkevich, another student of the School of Economics, Public Administration and Finances, an athlete from the regional Academy of Winter Sports, won gold medal in the men's sprint race of the U23 championship.
