The ranking assembles this list based on contribution the universities do to the formation of elites, to the scientific community, to youth and the Internet audience.

The agency assessed the institutions by 14 criteria upon the results of questionnaires and from independent sources such as the graduates employment monitoring by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Alexa web analytics, social networks, etc.

The ranking is based only on indicators and does not use subjective surveys of respondents.

In addition, Siberian Federal University has entered top-20 of the universities with the strongest influence on the Internet audience. According to the ranking compilers, this is due to two factors — the size of the university and the subject coverage. The higher the values of these indicators are, the more opportunities the university has to influence society in the web space.
