A SibFU Student from Kyrgyzstan Became the Student of the Year 2022

The award ceremony for the winners and laureates of the Student of the Year 2022 Award was held in Moscow on 17 December 2022. Azhar Alamanova, student of the School of Fundamental Biology and Biotechnology Education, SibFU, became the winner in the Foreign Student of the Year nomination.

Azhar Alamanova, who came to study in Krasnoyarsk from Kyrgyzstan, reads in three languages, is engaged in scientific and social work. She won the school-level, university and regional qualifying stages. As Azhar told the Press Office, the final tests were not easy — the competition committee tested various skills for several days: self-presentation, business skills, and knowledge of the culture of the peoples of Russia. In addition, the participants presented the culture of their countries.

“I made up my mind that I came for new impressions, for an experience that will break the mold I’m used to, and for inspiration. Now I can say without a doubt that I got it all. The finale of the Student of the Year turned out to be insanely eventful, now I feel a bit tired. But at the same time, I got several important lessons from the guys in my nomination, from the experts and the organizers. The main thing for me is the experience I got, new connections and ideas,” shared Azhar.
