The Agency of Labour and Employment (Krasnoyarsk Krai administration) and the Career Centre at Siberian Federal University opened the university's first Information Kiosk on March 18, 2008.

This formal ceremony involved Professor Eugene Vaganov, the university rector, and Victor Novikov, head of the Agency of Labour and Employment, Krasnoyarsk Krai administration.

The kiosk was installed as one of the first steps in a series of events aimed at making information on the local labour market and regional investment projects accessible to the local population, in general, and to the university's students, in particular. The Agency intends to install several information kiosks in the city. Their main objective is to promote large investment projects and to direct the flows of skilled workers to the large projects with thousands of jobs.

The kiosks will provide information on the jobs available, employment trends and the services of the Agency and the university's Career Centre.

The Agency is planning to monitor how students and local workers use the kiosks.
