Siberian Federal University hosted a round table on capital punishment in Russia. The participants of the forum spoke on the arguments for and against capital punishment and discussed the state of penal institutions in Russia. Speakers represented Penal Reform International, an international non-governmental organization working on penal and criminal justice reform worldwide; Federal Penitentiary Service, Krasnoyarsky Krai; Law Institute, Siberian Federal University.

PRI representatives thanked the students who presented their papers at the international competition of essays on capital punishment and gave them competition certificates and winners' awards.
