Siberian Federal University

The Russian Polish Centre was established at Siberian Federal University in September. The aim of the Centre is to act as a link between Siberian Federal University and Polish institutions of higher education, representatives of Polish administration, public and private companies.

The Centre's classes of the Polish language, concerts, exhibitions, film events and research workshops will provide an excellent platform for cultural and academic exchange and focus on creating new networks between the university and Polish research and cultural community.

The Centre's first film event will be Andrzej Waida's Katyn to be shown on September 25 in the Krasnoyarsk Film Centre.

The Centre will be formally opened on September 29. The ceremony will be attended by Mr Jerzy Bar, the Polish Ambassador to Russia.
