On October 29, 2008 TV-SibFU and regional state channel “Yenisey-Region” launched their first joint project – TV link-up “Power medium”. The Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Legislative Assembly, Alexander V. Uss, became the first guest of the program.
The TV program is done in the format of a discussion. Experts are invited to the main studio to discuss prospects of the region development, details of fulfilling the projects taking into consideration peculiarities of the region, as well as to assess the fulfillment of the similar projects in Russian and world practice. Siberian Federal University gives the initiative youth (students, postgraduates of SibFU and other Krasnoyarsk universities) an opportunity to enter into the discussion with the representatives of authorities of different levels: from regional to federal.
The first program was devoted to the topical problem of the fight against corruption. The experts of the program were the Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Legislative Assembly, Alexander V. Uss, Krasnoyarsk Territory Prosecutor Yu. A. Baranov and Head of the Chair for Delictology and Criminology of the SibFU Institute of Law, N.V. Shchedrin. SibFU youth was represented by the Member of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Legislative Assembly, Yu.N. Shvytkin, Head of the Operational Investigative Part of the Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes, K.A. Savchenko, and other competent persons. The representatives of the Anti-corruption student club presented position of SibFU students.
TV link-up “Power medium” is the first joint project of the University with the regional state channel “Yenisey-Region”. It is planned to make such programs regular and that SibFU students will participate actively in development of this cooperation.
