The Delegation from OAO Rosneft Oil Company with Sergey Bogdanchikov, President, as its head visited Siberian Federal University.
Vladimir Kolmakov, Provost and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Vice-Rector for Development and Capital Construction and Nikolai Dovzhenko, Director of the Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering gave a brief summary of how specialists are trained at SibFU for the development of the Vankor petroleum and gas deposit. Scientists, teachers and students of Siberian Federal University regularly perform scientific and practical research for the petroleum industry. Starting 2009 there will be four new specializations – geophysical methods for search of petroleum and natural gas deposits, development and exploitation of petroleum and natural gas deposits, petroleum and natural gas industry, pipeline transport, chemical engineering of natural energy carriers and carbon materials. At the meeting plans of the Siberian Federal University development had been discussed including participation of OAO Rosneft Oil Company in the construction of a new laboratory building for the Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.
Mars Khasanov, Director for Research, and Tamara Solovykh, Head of the Division for Personnel Development at the Human Resources Department of OAO Rosneft Oil Company had been demonstrated the scientific developments of the SibFU scientists, laboratories and equipment of the Center for Equipment Joint Use, programs of training specialists in petroleum engineering at Siberian Federal University, acting and being licensed, including programs of collaboration between Institute of Oil and Gas and Russian and foreign scientific and educational institutions.
As the result of the visit working group on the development of the Program of Collaboration was formed out of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Government, OAO Rosneft Oil Company and Siberian Federal University representatives.
