Documentary Films Scenario Workshop

From January 27 until February 15, 2009 Krasnoyarsk city on the base of Siberian Federal University will host a documentary films scenario workshop.
This workshop is one of the parts of significant cultural cooperation between Russia and France, which will be developing during the following 2009-2010 years.
The organizers of the film directors workshop have the following objectives which will allow the trainees to:

make a deep analysis of his/her project and prepare a real script of a documentary film;

during the work with the script discuss problems which occur during the realization of a project including possibility of local investments;

get acquainted with the methods of working on a plot and transforming it into a script of a film. This training will help in future work on development of new projects.

The projects of art documentary films are accepted to the workshop as well. Under the term “documentary film” such films are meant which show the reality (past and contemporary) on the basis of which research (analysis, script writing) is carried out and the originality of the author’s view is presented.

The deadline for applications is December 22, 2008.
