Delegation from Tyva Republic in SibFU

Delegation from Tyva Republic visited Siberian Federal University to hold a meeting concerning Tyva graduates’ education in colleges and higher education institutions of Krasnoyarsk Region. Alexander Uss, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk Region, Vyacheslav Bashev, Minister of Education and Science of Krasnoyarsk Region, Eugene Vaganov, SibFU Rector, etc. took part in the meeting as well as legislative and executive authorities of Tyva Republic headed by Sholban Kara-ool, Chairman of the Tyva Government.

Alexander Uss opened the meeting and explained why SibFU had become the venue: «Siberian Federal University is dedicated to unite the intellectual potential of all Siberian Federal District». Sholban Kara-ool reported that more than 600 Tyva graduates study in colleges and higher education institutions of Krasnoyarsk Region. What’s more, for about 200 Tyva graduates annually enter Krasnoyarsk educational institutions. Chairman of the Tyva Government also pointed out that Tyva Republic holds leading positions in the rating of Siberian Regions for industrial growth from the beginning of this year. Sholban Kara-ool said that hardware engineers are of high demand now as lots of investment projects are launched on the territory of the Republic. For example, Kuragino - Kyzyl railroad building.

The participants defined the following goals at the end of the meeting:

  • To collaborate in staff-training especially in terms of admission campaign referred to engineering specialties;
  • To establish advance refresher courses for working specialists;
  • To award scholarship for students from fast-moving Tyva companies.
