Olga Medvedtseva, SibFU student has already won two silver medals at the Biathlon World Cup. So now she is the forth at the overall standings.

Olga Medvedtseva finished second in the women’s sprint. Norway’s Tora Berger took the honours in the women's 7.5km sprint while Finland's Kaisa Makarainen became a bronze medallist.

Svetlana Sleptsova, Anna Bulygina, Olga Zaytseva Olga Medvedtseva comprised the national team and placed second at the first stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Oestersund (Sweden). The Russian team finished 18 seconds behind the German team. The French team won the third place.
So now the Russian team tops the overall standings of the World Cup.
