Sergey Bogdanchikov, President of Rosneft visited the incomplete building of the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.

President of Rosneft pointed out that the building is setting up ahead of schedule. At the present time, the major part of construction works (structural steel erection, shell & core fit-out, water supply and sewerage, etc.) has already been completed. The building holds 1500 people. It will be ready to welcome students on August 25, 2010.

It is necessary to recall that the decision of Rosneft to participate in the construction of the educational laboratory building of the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering was made during the official visit of the Rosneft President on November 13, 2008. After a month, Sergey Bogdanchikov signed an order on December 18, 2008 to allocate 700 million rubles for constructing the new building.

Sergey Bogdanchikov said that Rosneft will support students and coordinate their educational process. The newest educational programmes for oil and gas staff training will be elaborated in terms of customer's requirements and professional standards. The knowledge monitoring system will be implemented to boost and control students' progress. Visiting professors will hold lectures regularly and successful students will be able to undertake internships in different universities. Next year four new specialities will be available for prospective students of the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.
