Donor Day held on November 16 – 20, 2009 in Siberian Federal University has become a heart-warming tradition of helping people who need blood transfusion.

Siberian Federal University and Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center SB RAS held the All-Russian Scientific-Technical Conference «Ultra-Fine Powders, Nano-Structures and Materials» with international participation on October 15–16, 2009.

The XI All-Russian Box Tournament in memory of V.N. Borisov was held on October 7-11, 2009 in Siberian Federal University.

The International conference «Juvenile Justice in Europe and Asia: concepts and successful practice models» was held on September 22-25, 2009 in Siberian Federal University. The conference was organized by the SibFU Law Institute on the initiative of the Chair of Tort Study and Criminology.

Session of Creative Economy was held on September 22-25, 2009 in Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk).

Spanish is becoming more and more popular as mean of international business communication. As countries of Latin America are strengthening and expanding their economies worldwide, the Spanish language competes with English on a world stage. The Conference held on September 15-16, 2009 attracted not only linguists, translators and head teachers but also representatives of science, economics and business.

The Congress—Exhibition was held on September 8-10, 2009 in Krasnoyarsk. In total 358 participants from 18 countries attended the Congress, including 45 foreign experts representing 34 companies; 313 participants represented 97 enterprises of the mining and metallurgical industry of Russia and CIS, including primary metal smelters, metallurgical and processing enterprises, electrode and alumina plants, R&D and designing institutes and universities. 45 companies participated in the Exhibition. The majority of the participants attend the Exhibition every year.

The Workshop was held on August 24-28, 2009 in Siberian Federal University. The main purpose of the Workshop was to highlight the latest scientific advances within the broad field of nanomechanics in academics and industry. This symposium provided the opportunity for researchers coming from different corners of the world to be on a single platform of discussion, exchanging ideas and developing collaborations. Organizing committee brought together leading scientists working in the field of nanostructure growth, specifically investigating the properties and development of nanodevices.

The Conference was held on August 12-18, 2009 in Siberian Federal University. It primarily focused on the aspects of holomorphic continuations, CR-functions, multidimensional residues and integral representations. The Conference was also aimed at discussing the issues of geometry of discriminants, amoebas, coamoebas, applications in PDE theory and combinatorics.

The Conference was held on July 6-10, 2009 in Siberian Federal University. This conference continued a series of meetings devoted to Dynamical Chaos in classical and quantum systems. It was similar to that held in Novosibirsk in 2003, with a larger emphasis on quantum systems. In particular, special sessions were devoted to the dynamics of degenerate quantum gases and dynamical aspects of meso- and nano-systems.
