17february Spanish senators visit SibFU On February 16, 2011 Siberian Federal University hosted the delegation of the Spanish senators Jesús Caicedo Bernabé and Juan Huguet Rotger within the framework of the VIII Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. During the visit the members of the Spain’s Upper House of Parliament had several meetings with the University senior management.

10november Meeting of Russian and Cuban Rectors in the University of Cadiz (Spain) Evgeny A. Vaganov, SibFU Rector, Academician RAS took part in the meeting of the Russian and Cuban Rectors on October 13, 2010. The meeting was held in the University of Cadiz (Spain) which initiated to reactivate Russian – Cuban relations in the field of education. It is necessary to recall that there are a lot of Russian –speaking faculty members in Cuba which used to have a diverse range of academic mobility programs with the former Soviet Union. Santander Bank organized the financial support of the Event.

24september Traditional Japanese music concert in Siberian Federal University Traditional Japanese music concert led by the famous guest conductor Susumu Matsumoto was held on September 9, 2010 in the SibFU Centre of Japanese Culture. The concert was organized within the framework of the festival called «Russia – Japan: Dialogue of Cultures».
