The Delegation from OAO Rosneft Oil Company with Sergey Bogdanchikov, President, as its head visited Siberian Federal University.

Within the Krasnoyarsk Book Fair a round table discussion devoted to the establishment of the Siberian Association of University Editors was held on November 6, 2008. Siberian Federal University proposed to unite scientific literature publishing houses to consolidate joint efforts on promotion of editing and publishing.

Mikhail Prokhorov’s Fund together with the Krasnoyarsk Territory Administration and Krasnoyarsk City Administration in partnership with the “Krasnoyarsk Fair” Exhibition Company and “Siberia” International Exhibition Business Centre holds second Annual Book Fair during the period from 5th till 9th of November, 2008.

On October 29, 2008 TV-SibFU and regional state channel “Yenisey-Region” launched their first joint project – TV link-up “Power medium”. The Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Legislative Assembly, Alexander V. Uss, became the first guest of the program.

On October 27 Novosibirsk State University and Siberian Federal University closed the Agreement on Cooperation. The document was signed at the meeting of V.A. Sobyanin, Rector of NSU, professor, and Evgeny Vaganov, Rector of SibFU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The results of the quarter final world competition in programming have been summarized. SibFU programmers took the first place in the championship between the Universities of the Eastern Siberia!

Today students of the Institute of Philology and Cross-cultural communication will be able to meet Vladimir Solovyev, famous television presenter, invited by the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Khloponin.

The meeting between Evgeny Vaganov, Rector of Siberian Federal University, and Anatoly Perminov, Roscosmos Director, was held as a part of the visit of the Russian Government delegation to Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation organized the Russian National Exhibition which took place in “Inter Expo Center”, Sofia, Bulgaria from October 8 to October 12, 2008. Siberian Federal University was represented by Professor Yury S. Grigoryev, Head of the Chair of Environmental Toxicology and Microbiology, Institute of Economics, Management and Environmental Studies of Siberian Federal University and Alexander A. Andreyev, the university's faculty member.

On October 22, 2008 Vladimir Putin, the Chairman of the Russian Federation Government, visited Siberian Federal University.
